Change is good
They say change is good, right? Well, my life (more specifically my “office professional” life) is currently going through a bunch of change, hopefully all for the good, and it’s all happening in a one week period of time. Surprisingly enough it isn’t that stressful, maybe because the older I get the better I can handle stress, though it’s probably more that it’s all positive so there’s not much to stress over.
Probably the biggest change is that I (Dr. Pam) is shifting back to full time hours. After two years of working really just three days a week, I will now be in the office every Saturday and on Thursday mornings. Yes, that is the other change….after having Thursday’s off for the past 11 years, we are now going to be open for a few hours on Thursday mornings. That will take a little while to get use to, but I know its for the better as several people have asked for it.
The other big change is that we have done away with our paper sign in system, and advanced to a much better touch-screen program that is all-inclusive. Friday was our first day with it, and it all went fine. Not only is it a touch screen sign in, but a totally new software program, for appointments, note taking, billing, etc. It has been a tremendous amount of work transferring all the data over, but it’s coming together. I must thank the awesome crew we have at the office, who have all pitched in extra to make this happen.
There are other small changes going on, but I’ll fill you in on those later. I’m excited to get back into the office full-time, as my two year maternity leave (as I like to call it), is coming to an end (yes it’s been two years!). Life is great and chiropractic care makes it even better. I know that when I get adjusted I can handle stresses better, so keep that in mind….and get adjusted when you are experiencing stress. You may be surprised at how good you feel.
