The past four years
We’ve all been through a lot the past four years, especially during the challenging times of 2020 and 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic brought about significant disruptions and stressors for many people. I traveled a fair amount during that time and remembering dealing with some ridiculous things during the “Covid era”. I just get moments of “ugh” and gut punches thinking of things we had to deal with. One person allowed on elevators, masking on planes, plastic utensils at restaurants, gyms that were shut down. Just thinking back on that annoys me.
People’s responses and attitudes towards COVID-19 varied widely, reflecting the complexity of the situation with differing beliefs and experiences. Some viewed it as a severe health crisis requiring stringent measures like masking and vaccination, while others perceived it as a large hoax & overreaction, leading to a range of reactions and viewpoints. And then there were all those who were in between.
So where are we now? Are you healthier than before? What lifestyle changes have you made? Do you take more supplements? Do you get adjusted more? Exercise more? Sleep more? All those things contribute to a stronger immune system, which ultimately is what you want to help keep your body healthy.
If anything, the Covid era should have changed you to some degree. What did you learn? Would you do things differently if it happens again? Are you taking better care of yourself? Many people know that I was not a fan of masking, if you know anything about physiology then it made no logical sense. Perhaps someone who was sick – yes, though it made no sense for a healthy person to wear a mask. Sure, they said to follow the science, but they should have said to follow physiology. Then people would have probably reacted differently.
How different are you? Building a healthy body is one of the best ways to prevent illness and disease, while it’s never a guarantee, it sure will help. Get adjusted regularly (1x week to 1x month); eat whole foods; eliminate sugars; give up alcohol; exercise/stretch daily; get 6-8 hours of sleep a night; and include a routine of prayer, meditation or gratitude each day. It may sound hard, but it really isn’t. It is so worth it.
Your life is worth it.
