I could look at it as a win-win. Or a loss-loss. I don’t know. What I do know is next week I won’t be depressed for days. It’s a little odd. I’m excited but I’m not. I don’t even know how to act or feel. I thought this would be great, but it’s not. (Okay, so I may be over-reacting a bit…). Do you know what I’m talking about?
I grew up in the Boston area — born & raised — went to college there, and stayed in the area after graduation. I lived there the first 30 years of my life. I “died hard” often. Then I moved away, and came down to Atlanta where I’ve been the past 20 years. And during this time here, I’ve become an Atlanta fan. It’s hard not to when you live here.
So when the Falcons and Patriots meet in the Super Bowl on Sunday, it will hard to see either team lose. I’ve followed the Falcons all year, and know they have finished the season strong. I’ve followed the Patriots since 8th grade and am not tired of their winning. I would love to see the Falcons win. It would be so great for the city. I have friends and patients who are big Falcons fans, I’ve never lived in a city when they’ve won a major championship, and it could be so exciting!
But if they win, that means the Patriots lose! That would stink, they can’t lose, and it would be awesome if they could win again. I’d love to see Tom Brady win #5. I’d love to see Roger Goodell hand them the trophy. It would be like a slap-in-the-face to him. I love the Patriots; I mean that’s almost 40 years of being a fan. It would be great. But that means the Falcons lose. And that would be so sad for the city, and my friends.
One team will win, one will lose. I’ll be both happy and sad. It will be strange. But I will root for the Patriots; I have to stick with my roots, my first hometown team. I’m a huge Tom Brady fan, and while others hate him, I admire him for his persistence and for how well he has taken care of himself. Do you think its luck? He is playing so well at this age, because he takes great care of himself, he eats really well, he gets adjusted, he’s very holistic in his lifestyle, he’s got a great mindset. And when you take care of your body like that, the sky is the limit.
How well do you take care of yourself? Do you eat well? Do you get adjusted? Chiropractic adjustments help with overall performance, function and health. Make sure you are getting checked and adjusted regularly, to keep your nervous system subluxation free.
