21-Day purification (or even 10 days!)
It’s that time of year again, time to clean out the digestive tract, cleanse my body & reset my system. At the time I write this, I am on day 5 of a 21-day purification program; the first 10 days eating only fruits & veggies plus protein shakes, and then adding in protein on day 11 (in the form of fish, chicken or beef). It’s actually not as hard as it sounds, and it isn’t too far from my normal eating habits. The difference is when I get home at night and catch up on emails or work, I’m not snacking at all or if I am, it’s on raw veggies.
There are 8 others in my office that are doing this program, with some of them doing a 10-day program instead of the full 21. And the 10-day program is designed to decrease sugar cravings, and it really works! Are you addicted to sugar? Do you have those cravings each afternoon or night?
